First Response First Aid Course for Scout & Guide Leaders

In - house price for up to 12 delegates - £ 192 + VAT

 

This 1 day course is run over 6 contact hours and covers the syllabus as laid down by the Scouting & Girl Guide Associations. The course is a requirement to hold a warrant and is part of the compulsory training to become a leader. The course is run by experienced instructors who also have experience in the Scouting or Guiding movement. We are proud to be listed as the preferred training centre for Hertfordshire Scouts.

 

The course syllabus includes:

 

 

What is First Aid

Role of the First Aider (including maintenance of an appropriate first aid kit, calling the emergency services, triage, action after an incident)

Primary Assessment

Recovery Position

CPR for Adults

Choking

Asthma & Hyperventilation

Drowning

Conditions Affecting Circulation (including Shock, Heart Attacks, Angina, Fainting and Anaphylactic Shock, includes the effective use of an 'Epi Pen')

Bleeding

Bone Joints & Muscle Injuries (Including Spinal Injuries)

Head injuries

Burns

Poisoning

Other Serious Illnesses (including Stroke, Epilepsy and Diabetes)

Effects of the Heat & Cold

Child CPR & Choking

On all of Good Skills Training's courses there are NO HIDDEN EXTRAS, the price includes professional tuition, all course materials, First Response booklet including a certificate valid for 3 years. The Price is based on the course being run at your premises, although venues and refreshments can be sourced for an extra fee.
